'Kaitlin's T1D Starter Pack' was created with the intent to provide some ease of mind to a friend whose 2-year old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I wanted to provide a helping hand to a family in need during a time of uncertainty, shock, and fear, with the hopes to help alleviate some of the fear and confusion by providing them with this T1D care package.

The time of diagnosis is weird and unfamiliar. What better way to help individuals that are newly diagnosed than to provide a care package including items that can assist them right out of the gate and provide them with a sense of hope and unity?

The basket wasn't meant to provide all the answers to managing type 1 diabetes but to provide some helpful tools, tips, tricks, and guidance based on my own personal experiences with type 1 diabetes.
